It has been a turbulent year already around the globe with crisis and tumultuous atmosphere people have to contain with, surrounding huge threats around the safety of human enterprise. With such time there a lot to learn from Iceland, the world’s most peaceful country to curb the menaces, and be more engaging with tolerance. According to the 2021 Global Peace Index, published by the Institute for Economics and Peace, Iceland continues to remain the most peaceful country globally for the 13th consecutive year, since the start of the Index in 2008. The status of Iceland amid what is going on around the world should serve as a recipe for better world, ahead of world’s International Day of Peace observed globally on September 21.

Violence of all kinds have taken a deep course in these current settings in the society, the wound is deepening, the populace is feeling the heat across all human enterprise. This status of Iceland hugely revolves around very infinitesimal violence and conflict which the world is struggling to curtail, healthy economic impacts play a bigger role to keep the standard of living moderate for average citizens. A lot of things come with being peaceful, Iceland is credited for a good welfare system across all sectors with no fear of discrimination or inequality.

Gun violence a deterrent to peaceful world

This is very common in US, where gun violence has taken its toll due to lenient legislation on gun control, the recent killings in grocery shop and massacre of school pupils sparked an action to revisit gun laws in America. Police brutality is another factor, where security personnel trained to protect lives and property, turned to exercise it on unarmed innocent citizens turn out to be a dangerous threat in the society. It is going to be a dream for many swam dweller to have a replica of what life is like in Iceland, in their own country, efforts towards the goals will put to rest many humanitarian problems.
