Joke woke up with a start. Her husband, Abel was sleeping soundly, extending his legs to the far end of the bed while clutching his pillow tightly to himself.
She tapped him vigorously.
He sluggishly opened his eyes, muttered incomprehensible words and close his eyes again.
This act provoked Joke who gave him a slap on his face. He jumped up.
“Are you possessed? he shouted.
“I had a bad dream”, Joke said fearfully clutching her husband. Her bulging stomach was visible in her transparent nightdress.
“You don’t have to be afraid wifey. I’m here for you all the time, okay? He reassured with a sleepy tone.
Joke nodded but she was not convinced.

Abel went back to sleep, snoring loudly. Joke was disappointed.
She stood up from the bed and walked to the kitchen for a glass of water.
Her mother always advice her to pray in such situation but she was weak. Abel couldn’t help either.
As she turned towards the exit door she heard the window crashing. She clutched her tummy and run towards the bedroom.
“Honey! Honey!!, she tapped her husband but he was fast asleep.
She hit him on his head and he stood up looking at her in a way a predator will look at its prey, his face contorted with fury.
“Abel, someone is breaking into the house! Joke whispered.
Her dream is coming to pass. she shivered.
What? he shouted as he jumped up from the bed.
They could hear voices in the sitting room.
Joke started crying while praying silently in her heart.
Abel immediately locked the door of their bedroom. Luckily for them, the same room has a door that leads to the backyard.
When Abel peeped from the window. He saw some masked men with gun. Beads of perspiration gathered on his forehead and his panting wife knew that it was only a miracle that could save them.
When the banging grew louder on their bedroom door with threats from the arm robbers that they should open the door or risk burning down the house.
Abel quickly open the door that leads to the backyard and took to his heels. His pregnant wife ran after him breathing heavily. He ran faster as his legs could carry him out of the compound.
When he slowed down to wait for his wife, he was surprised to see that she was in front of him.
Meanwhile the arm robbers were running after them, now.
