What Life Is Like In Today’s Nigeria In A Build Up To Elections

Everyday life in Nigeria has continue to get worst, market stuffs have become unbearable to purchase and Nigerians are feeling the heat. Security challenges in the country has rock bottom, the country is largely unsafe, and it is a dominant topic in the build up to 2023 general election which would be very pivotal in today’s Nigeria, especially what youth has taken cognizance of the situation to savage it by queuing behind and being politically active to curtail the excesses in the country to hold elected officials accountable for mismanagement of the country’s resources.

Insecurity has become the order of the day in Nigeria, it has conglomerated into banditry, kidnapping for ransom and killing across the country. The incumbent government was elected on the basis of savaging insecurity by then, it was only in north-east particularly in Bornu state after the notorious kidnap of Chibok girls in 2014, by 2022 everywhere state across the country is on rage and it is a big question and a big call to reckon, Nigeria has been stretched in all ramifications and the system is running out of steam, the grip that is holding the country is fast loosening, in this extreme time only extreme measure can get the country on the road to better future for younger generation.

Public universities have been shutdown for more than six months, the greatest sufferers of this outcome are poor citizens trying to see education as a means of providing better life for the offspring, just for the government to fail educational system and shatter that dreams, a country where government official can loot more than 100billion naira and little or nothing is done to hold him accountable. Nigeria populace need mental enlightenment because they are enslaved mentally following leaders sheepishly without asking questions or rather jeopardize the interest of more than 200million people just to keep enriching themselves.

You can only see the future with the decisions you make today, it is beyond the election, it is about not putting the future of the younger generation in jeopardy. The system needs total overhaul for there to pave way for new ideas and initiatives that can place the country to be dominant force in Africa and beyond. The energy candidates put to convince the electorates to vote for them, if they can put into working it will be a recorded success for the betterment of the country, but the real intent is to loot as much as possible and leave the poor masses in a sorry state, the build up to the elections and the topics surrounding it should be indicators for the future.
