Some months ago, just before winter arrived…
Casting a solemn blanket upward and surging me with that nostalgic feelings…
The chirping of the early birds…
The drawing on the wet sand having made moist by the early morning dew.
Father’s usual boring morning hymns, his deep shrill voice accompanied with gulps of palm wine when choked with cough.
Mother’s tender hands busy with knitting…
A skill which I had grown to admire.
And there is Adaure my elder sister…
Always studying under the cool Mango tree…
Her entrance exam into the prestigious nursing school is in two weeks time, and she is taking no chances.
Having rejected the Prince of our kingdom who had seek for her hand in marriage.
The only man who drives that which runs on four wheels as described by Father…
Mother had vowed to deny her as her daughter.
I think she did, because she hardly talk to her except on rare occasions.
Adaure, had seized the opportunity to study harder for her exams because Mother hardly send her on errands too.
I pray she succeeds or face Mother’s mockery all the days of her life.
And it reminds me too of Urimma, the girl who live in the next compound.
She had stolen my heart from the first day I saw her
I have always watch her tiny waist and beautiful face…
Thoughts running into my minds….
I pray Father finds out not, or I will be made to live in the church for the rest of my life.
I kept my thoughts to myself until I saw Urimma in Francis new van, chattering and laughing boisterously.

Until I fall sick again…
I am a grown man now, an adult.
But those nostalgic feelings come and go
They are special feelings, you know.
I loved even more than you will get done right here. The picture is nice, and your writing is stylish, but you seem to be rushing through it, and I think you should give it again soon. I’ll probably do that again and again if you protect this walk.
