Manchester United have been at the top for so long inspired by masterclass of Sir Alex Ferguson, the Scot inspired what would later be a nightmare for all premier league clubs.
Sir Alex twenty-six year of service at Manchester was an extraordinary masterpiece, the man management and the interaction both in the pitch and outside, he gives his job every single bit of him. Since the Scot retired in 2013 it has been struggles for Manchester United.
He left Old Trafford summing it up with twenty premier league titles the highest any club in English premier league has won. His retirement caused a lot of eyebrows, who is going to continue to take Manchester United on that ride.
David Moyes was the first manager appointed, who had also managed Everton after Sir Alex, he fails to live up to the expectations, he turned United into an average premier league club with the hope of regular European competition shattered.
Manchester United sacked Moyes and appoint Van Gaal, who came with his own philosophy to change the club and restore the glory. The Dutch faltered as United chance of progressing to European competition keep getting slim.
The “special one” Jose Mourinho, was another manager to take up the challenge after the Red Devils parted ways with the Dutch. Jose widely known by his defensive style turns Manchester United into a rigid team, a team historically known by its attacking prowess. It feels like United would need messiah to change their situation.
The “20 legend”. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer arrival at Manchester invigorates the famous UEFA champions league fight back against Bayern Munich. The Norwegian came in as a former player who knows the tradition of the club and what it is expected of him.
Ole had better early days with unbeaten run. Manchester struggled in all areas and so much talk surround the job again, with some fans want him to get sacked. Manchester United struggle both internally and continental. It is just another revival for the club, the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes make a lot of difference.
Marcus Rashford: Legacy and fighting back
This season, the first few games were all bad for the club, building new and balance could take a whole lot of process but the boys at United have started to take it upon themselves and realize what it is like to play for Manchester United.
Ole man management and his soft way of treating the players have been criticized but the Norwegian remains calm and thrive off the pressure, many Ole out trends on social media didn’t get the best of him.
Although Manchester United are heading somewhere but has not looked like champion, you can’t deny the fact that Ole is building something with the squad. Finding perfect defending partners, Wan-Bissaka is improving especially in joining the attack while defensively he is a monster, with Lindelof out and Eric Bailly in, his recent performance has been superb Bailly is a beast at the back but injuries and lack of game time has limited his involvement. Maguire very calm at the back and Telles giving Shaw the perfect back up.
The midfield is packed with qualities, Fred has proven to be very important player in the midfield, McTominay full of strength and, Matic and Mata with their experience. Pogba is a joy and a hell of quality to watch when he is at his best, the French World Cup winner is slowly getting back to his best, his presence in the midfield can be terrifying, then comes the man who seems that he wants to get his name in every goal scored by Manchester United since his arrival, Bruno Fernandes comes with lots of positives and he deserves the credits for inspiring the team to be where they are now.
The attacking strength is a joy to watch, Rashford and Martial are making it to come alive again, with the team’s best finisher Greenwood. Cavani has proven that age is just a number his presence and experience is a huge asset in the attacking line.
You can’t deny the credit from Ole, he has been under pressure for a long time, but the club showed faith in him and it is paying off. It is a good position for Manchester United in the table after a shameful exit from champions league, still early to talk about the title but you can tune in after thirty-eight games.
