The challenges of poor mental health issues facing young people is conglomeration of many defining factors which have spread throughout their upbringing. Social factors, economic factors and acquired convictions which have shaped them in the process. This can start from younger age in life, where kids constantly up against mates who bully them in school or other extra curricular activities, making them to settle for second fiddle while they could easily express themselves effortlessly and have a place at the top. Sometimes the environment they found themselves growing up doesn’t encourage empathy, instead of them speaking up they are pushed inside of their skin.

Social impacts of poor mental health challenges are evidently vary from different climes, young people in Asia, Africa and Caribbean who are very familiar with war, poor economic management, terrorism, gang violence, kidnapping and poor leadership are going to be influenced by these factors. It could be right to say that what comes after hard work is success, in these climes, there are no secured or guaranteed future for young people, there are no establishments which tend to facilitate their growth professionally and otherwise, what they carry in their hearts is the hope, that there will be light at the end of the tunnel,  as the day goes by, the dream becomes even harder to achieve, when it becomes too hot for them,  they quickly fold under such environment, the chances of survival is very minute, and they can’t thrive because the fight is not a fair one.

In the Western world, more equipped and advanced in all ramifications provide a different kind of social impacts of poor mental health challenges among young people, their case study is distinct, have a very small man-made disaster to contain with, but natural disaster which is out of their control. Young people in this clime is fighting a different demon, more about the process of their integration and the acceptance among people, and the basis of choice of words the older ones use on them and the freedom for them to express themselves without necessarily limiting that. When they feel that they don’t belong, they could easily abuse drugs, late nights and womanising, before they could realize it, they are already at war with themselves. Young people in Africa are more concerned on the road to the top, it doesn’t matter the kind of circumstances they have been subjected.

Community of wide range of gap in terms of financial status children of poor families don’t have a chance, they don’t get to see the light of the day, they are perpetually pegged back in their enclave.

Poor mental health challenges among youth are linked to these factors, this is because mental health challenges don’t just develop on their own, in the process of getting something done, you were not able to achieve that even when required efforts have been given, it demoralises. To tackle poor mental health challenges psychologically, you have to learn how to contain with disappointments and failures, it is about how you manage yourself in such situations, you need positive strong self affirmations, with that you can substantially immune yourself from poor mental health challenges.
