In search of a saviour Nigerian youths have taken it to heart to restore the country they feel strongly belong to them and made away with old corrupt politicians, who are the architects of backwardness and have represented everything bad Nigerians are going through and have been through. The youths feel that there is chance for redemption if they will be able to mobilize and encourage more young people to get their PVC [ Permanent Voter’s Card] as an electoral weapon to enthrone the most qualified and eligible candidate, who is going to have the interest of the masses at heart and drive the country to have basic stand of living at least, restoring peaceful coexist.
Nigeria’s next general election will be the youths against old politicians who have been milking the economy for their self-interest and keep enriching the oligarchs’ associates. Tertiary institutions have been shut down due to deadlock in agreement between the union and federal government in finding workable atmosphere for both parties, since February Nigeria undergraduates have been restricted at home, no solid efforts to get them back, as those who supposed to advocating for revival in the system are busy securing political positions for their own different agenda to keep the future of the county in the dark, while they squander the country’s resources.

Nigerians who are not sure whether their votes are going to count, have been assured by the electoral commission chairman, Yakubu Mahmoud, that all votes are going to be voice for every Nigerian, guaranteeing votes security and opposing votes buying, which is very rife during elections in Nigeria. In a country where citizens don’t have any kind of trust for public office holders, which is due to malpractices in the system it is hard to take their words.
It is an end to voting apathy in the country, Nigerian youths are voicing out, especially influential figures in entertainment industry using their status to canvass for obtaining PVC and voting out old politicians who are the major actors who have hold the country for ransom and have hindered any kind of development. Lekki toll gate massacre will forever hunt Nigeria political setting, where the blood of innocent Nigerians was sacrificed to protect the structure, they use to keep millions of Nigerians in abject poverty, it is all about revolution of awakening of consciousness by Nigerian youths.
