Why We Should Take Rest After Work

Rest is very paramount in one’s life, to allow the body to be at rest and function at its best. Allowing our own self to access our daily activities through putting yourself to rest, because it is very essential.

We should learn to take more holidays, over stressing yourself physically might hurt the body mentally, subjecting the body to work load can have a negative effect to the body in the future, spend more holidays accessing yourself.

It sometimes happen like this, when we become more industrious and creative, slowing down become a taboo, we think it will affect our steady development, there by denying yourself the privilege to have a good rest.

The hours which we work have effect in our lives, less hours to work have better health and productivity, working overtime can be demanding and tiresome, putting your health at risk.

Too much stressing the mind can hurt its ability to function effectively, one meta-analysis found that long working hours increased the risk of coronary heart disease by 40% almost as much as smoking 50%.

People who worked long hours had a significantly higher risk of stroke, while people who worked than 11 hours a day almost 2.5 times more likely to have a major depressive episode than those who worked seven hours to eight.

It has cause a major concern in some parts of the world, rest is something we should embrace, each time we get the time to put our mind to rest, in Japan, this has led to the disturbing trend of karoshi, or death by overwork.

One study of business in Helsinki found that over 26 years, executives and business men who took fewer holidays in midlife predicted both earlier deaths and worse health in old age.

Efficiency and productivity may be tend a new obsession depriving rest, when we are pushing ourselves to the extreme of our ability, we should consider and make it out top priority.
