Why Leaders Are Major Actors In Nigeria’s Progress

Nigeria has struggled since her independence to find a working system that will enhance development in all the sectors, yet there are so many shortcomings that are slowing the progress, which the politicians are inclusive, they are on the major side in this progress, they are the major actors that will hand Nigeria, a better way of living but mere sentiments always stand in the way to say otherwise and abort the whole efforts.

Nigeria, a country of large population made up of different ethnic groups, coming together under one umbrella to answer Nigeria. Politicians enforce must of the opinions due to their personal benefit, not majorly to protect the interests of the people they are representing, they prioritize their interests before any other responsibility. This is the bigger picture people need to see, to be able to analyze where the problem is coming from, people have been kept in the dark for a long time by these politicians representing them, to be able to wade off the blame, they entice the populace with mere gifts.

Looking at the purview of the situation, less than average number of Nigeria population have an access to education. And this is the tool politicians use to keep the people in the dark, they deny you those basics so you won’t understand the whole story. With kind of salary and money splashing out in the National Assembly, can put more than fifty percent of Nigerians into free education and scholarship, this is a modern-day robbery, the system need overhaul, to better the lives of an average Nigerians.

Citizens need to standard where their crisis is coming from, politicians hold the greater part of the progress of the country, until they change their modus operandi nothing else is going to work. The mentality towards leadership is demeaning, the expression created has marred any chance of improvement. It is like passing down the country’s wealth into the hands of set of people who are determined to make the country a living hell. And this is the root cause of many agitators, banditry and all kind of crimes ravaging the country.
