LIFE TALK

The Tale Of Pupils In Northern Nigeria And Leah Sharibu

In a society where there is absolute absence of what leadership is made up of, so many bad ordeals are bound to happen. Since the abduction of Chibok girls in 2014, by Boko Haram militants who were canvasing against western education rose to be great menace to the country, exposing the security challenges that are affecting the country.

Schools are targeted to discontinue any chance of formal education, since then abduction of pupils in northern Nigeria became very rampant, the militants making mockery of the government, it is actually sad when a group of people seize possession and take over your territory, then your presence is insignificant. Bringing war to your door step and the service chiefs have failed woefully.

The response to this ordeal is disheartening. Banditry and mayhem rule all day, and government lack clue on how to go about this, they were totally destabilized. These pupils are traded with incarcerated terrorists, it reached a point where everything is draining, when the society has lost any sense of reasoning and any other thing doesn’t make sense.

It is sad to say but the truth that government has failed the citizenry on a primary assignment, to protect lives and property. You can clearly see the absence of leadership qualities; this is a great call to answer. It is appallingly shameless that a leader will go with convey and dozens of securities, yet their subjects go about their business with knife in their pockets, this is where it has reached.

Impending civil war in Nigeria

All these have exposed the weakness of the leaders, every state is embarking on self-defense, taking it upon themselves to protect their loved ones from any harm, securities that supposed to protect millions of citizens are protect only one politician, this is the extreme point you worry about human entity, where has sense of reasoning gone to?

The Christian girl who defiles the menace of Boko Haram, and refuse to denounce her faith is yet to be heard from, it is unacceptable that something of this nature still happen, at this time and age where the world supposes to move from this petty reasoning. Leah Sharibu will be an inspiration to other girls who hold unto and believe in the course they embedded to be right.

It will be a dangerous norm, where people will learn to live and accept what is happening, that shouldn’t be there. Anything worth doing, worth doing well, it is a fight to defeat these repugnancies and create enabling environment for everyone regardless of the class of people, as a leader if you can’t expose your family to danger don’t do that to others.

What is happening is a big disgrace and anyone who is involved should hide their faces, but it is dispiriting that the leaders come out public and lie over this, making mockery of the whole situation, if you can’t defeat the court of conscience, you have just failed at the little basics of life.
