The Difficulties Of Having A Fulfilled Dream In Africa

Just like European countries that prioritize citizen’s welfare and promoting conducive atmosphere for everyone to strive, African dream can be such dominant force but has since given less value to citizens’ concerns and on the idea of welfarism. It has become a pressing issue in Africa, the difficulties of living your dreams, the uncertainty surrounding every circumstance due to the kind of society that strives on corruption and all kinds of malpractices at different levels. Africa has the resources to guarantee a dream life for the people and provide the necessary equipment to allow people from different walks of life to be phenomenal in their endeavors.

What has characterized the situation is mass exodus from Africa to other continent by African people in search of greener pasture, hoping for a dream life predominant by people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, this is the level of the havoc caused by maladministration by African leaders who have refused and denied African people greatness. University aspirants are fast ditching African universities, because they are not seeing the future there, African people become one of the most applied applicants in foreign universities’ scholarships. A lot of concerns with the state of things in Africa, but the leaders are less worried, while African dream is fast fading away, the people are not asking for the impossible, what is required is achievable but the cord of leadership and followership is loosen people don’t hold the elected officials accountable, one man can mislead more than millions of people just to put his own interest at the forefront of his chase, making the gluttony and desire to exploit people for their selfish interest unprecedented.

Despite those hurdles people are not relenting they kept their foots on the gas hoping for better society where reward for hard work can be appreciated rather than people celebrating mediocre and clapping for a person who has masterminded their woes. It is a brave step to inspire at all cost, younger generation in Africa endowed with talents at different endeavors are hoping to be the change makers for new and brighter Africa, the African dream is possible, Africans can still be able to dream and have high hopes for themselves, this is the kind of dream and hope more than a billion population hold to be self-evident in Africa.
