The Big Task Of Good Parenting In Africa

Parenting is a difficult but interesting task, considering the exposure kids now get in the name of social media presence and the internet assess, sometimes you argue if parents of nowadays are doing anything to curtail the high level of immorality that is ravaging the society.

Society has made it difficult to raise a child properly in this current dispensation, even when the parents are putting in their very best, it seems like they are doing little, you hardly see the good side of good parenting in kids, especially when they are carried away with their environments.

Parents are faced with big task of correcting those errors, good upbringing, and home training, but this is not far from what parents are doing decades ago, since arrival of one technology or the other, which was posed to help humanity to ease their works and faster process, turned out to be detrimental to young kids growing.

Your Approach To Children Matter

You can see kids spend hours pressing their phones, on Facebook, viewing pictures and on YouTube watching videos, which is far from helping their lives, they devote time enriching their minds with something irrelevant, that’s why when they are at their adulthood, they find it difficult to live up to their expectations and engage in illegal means of making money.

Sometimes you questioned if parents of nowadays have any qualities of good parenting, because it is someone who has any value to inculcate, is doing to do so, when they lack any idea of good parenting, it is simply going to be a disaster, there by producing bad eggs in the society.

Most parents don’t have time for their kids, they can’t accurately say when their kids are facing difficult times, may be at school or home, they won’t be there to tell them what to do, allowing their kids to do something on their own, when they don’t have any experience to face such problem. Rather they are obsessed with their work, working for others, indirectly improving people’s lives why their homes are burning down, leaving it in a terrible state.

Parents should take the full responsibility of raising good kids into the society, you can’t leave them under the care of anybody anymore, because you’re endangering the lives of such kids, they need to have proper upbringing, give positive energy into the society.

Raising kids in Africa is a big tasks that parents neglect and do nothing to correct this problem, they are devote too much attention in making money and living lavish, sometimes loss the value of good parenting.

In Africa parents who are devoted in giving their kids good home upbringing, lack the basic necessities to pursue this, there by sending their kids away to live with someone who is sophisticated, at this time they completely loss contact with the kid, hardly know the condition which the kid is living their.

Those people they went to leave with show little interest in the kid’s education making it absolutely difficult to give the kid any sense of belonging, the kid will be overshadowed with maltreatment and harsh treatment, which will turnout in the future be a negative experience and will be traumatized by it.

You see at a very young age, especially boys, they will start abusing drugs, smoking and drinking excessive amount of beer, from there it gives birth to cultism and banditory, irresponsible parents cause half of this problem.

The system also contributes to this, too much promises from the government but nothing to show for it, the system is in complete meltdown, nothing is working, no proper administration.

Some parents now depend on their kids to survive, sending the kids to go and hawk on the busy areas, while they set small shop at the street for the same goods, these kids pass through a lot of things, sexual abuse from the buyers, even nasty words from them, but they keep calm in other not to bring the goods home unfinished, those kids who have been on street for long time doesn’t take it likely with these customers, they respond back when used nasty words on, there by causing serious uproar in the market.

Kids who stayed till night are the most vulnerable, customer who finds sexual pleasure from them would pay them big money to entice them, they will take advantage of them, because they will assumed these kids are money oriented, they use the advantage to engage into sexual intercourse with a minor.

At some time female hawkers will start enjoying the company, taking them out, buying new clothes and something they will expect in exchange for sex nothing more, and most people who engage in this immortal act are married men with grown up kids.

Female hawkers will start to show disrespect towards their parents what they would say ‘growing wings’ that was the commonest thing parents say to their kids who started to show signs of disrespect.

This will entice the female hawkers to stop hawking, since they make small money from it and go into full time prostitution, becoming the victims of their circumstances, from there parents will start getting nasty reports, is one of the commonest observations in Africa, if kids started to misbehave certainly, reports will come from other parents who have seem them or witnessed their unwanted signs, and it is normal to beat a child who misbehaved in Africa, it shows signs of responsible parents, it shows good parenting.

They have totally loss any respect for elders, we no longer live in a society where respect reign, unlike before, you wonder if the fault is from the parents or the society, but it amounts to the task parents are not doing, no proper training of kids, they barely have time to school their kids, all the energy is attributed to work, you see in Africa at the age of 14 one is already thinking of joining a gang, without prioritizing the main focus which is education and brighter future.

In the case of boys it is just about abusing drugs and chasing women. You hear talk about quick money, no one wants to work for a long time, they want billions of dollars overnight, there by going into fraud and cybercrime which is rife with the name ‘Yahoo boys’ in Nigeria.

They made it look like achievement, they talk it openly in the street like saying ‘I’m a Yahoo boy’ hoping in no distance time they will be riding with the best, often they tagged education ‘school na scam’ which means school is scam you see how rotten the society is, both the system and parents have failed to their jobs respectively, producing bad eggs into the society. In Africa parents barely know the friends their kids keep, some of these boys buy weed for the ‘big boys’ in the street in other to be protected which their parents are ignorant. Parents should work on their kids, proper training, spoil them with good books not gifts, teach them values not spending hours on social media watching people making money through fraud, work on your kids, that’s the best gift you can give them for now, if you’re ready to produce leaders of thoughts, which the next generation is going to depend on.
