Wan-Bissaka was born in Croydon, Greater London and grew up in New Addington, Croydon where he attended Good Shepherd Catholic primary school.

He joined Crystal Palace academy at 11 years, where he started out as a winger, he signed a professional contract with the club in December 2016.
Managers who have managed Palace favoured Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Martin Kelly, Joel Ward in the right back. On 25 February 2018, Wan-Bissaka made his first team debut for Crystal Palace, in the midst of an injury crisis, in a premier league match against Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst park which resulted in a 1-0 defeat.
After being featured in many matches, his performance was something to write about, he was named the club’s player of the month for August, September, October, and March. On 30 April 2019, Wan-Bissaka was named the Crystal Palace Player of the Year for his displays throughout the season.
Wan-Bissaka wanted to play football everyday with his brother whom he always looked at as being the better player and only wanted to copy him.

There were times when he was not playing much games U14s and U15s, he said ‘football just felt long for me, obviously I liked it but the hard work wasn’t there, I think I had a talk with Dad, he gave me that talk, that talk was so long’. His perspective changed after that talk with his Dad, he started to prepare himself to the phenomenal future.
WAN-BISSAKA RISE TO STARDOM
His work rate began to improve, he never give up on winning the ball or making a run, it comes from having more of the hunger seeing his hard work.
Wan-Bissaka didn’t even know that Manchester United was interested after a phenomenal season with Crystal Palace, he was going up one day, just got a call that it has been accepted and he is going to a medical, he was so excited.
On 29 June 2019, Wan-Bissaka signed a five-year contract with Manchester United. Crystal Palace would receive an initial fee of £45million, with another £5million due in potential bonuses.
Upon his signing for Manchester United Wan-Bissaka became the sixth most expensive defender of all time and the most expensive English player who was uncapped by National side at the time of transfer.
On 11 August 2019, Wan-Bissaka received his first call-up to the senior England team ahead of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers against Kosovo and Bulgaria, but was forced to withdraw from the squad due to back injury.
Ever since his signing for Manchester United, every minutes he has played, has justified his commitment, he keeps the development curve that got Manchester United interested in him.
