Mmeso Inspires: The Risk

And who says that love is not a risk?

When soulmates has gradually turned into strangers

And lovers into ghosters…

Alone I was left to ponder on the irony of life…

The blurriness of passion…

Today she is the first you want to text each morning, the last you want to call every night.

Now you don’t care if she exists, and just like a plague you avoid her.

And who says that love is not a risk?

When you promised to stand by him till the end of time and so soon you want to leave.

So soon you want to quit because someone else promised you that life which you envisaged.

Yes, you are breaking free from the promise, because right before your watchful eyes someone else presents luxuries to you.

If Love is not a risk Pal, tell me what best describes it because the future appears unclear, like a mist.

I have seen love which succeeded after years of sacrifices and trials…

I have seen love which failed after years of building and nurturing.

Neither way, is Love all a risk…

Change is constant, isn’t it?

What happens if that familiar face fails to recognize you tomorrow or carries with it a distant look…

Or the beautiful face is seen with another, right before your eyes and you have to let go because that is just the true definition of love.

You watch her slip off your fingers…

He is no longer there to offer a shoulder to lay…

And you understand now, that it is not just a sacrifice but a risk you have taken.

Some said Love is a game of luck…

If it ended in your favour, make merry.

If it doesn’t, make merry too, because you are a lot wiser than before.

We cannot escape being or falling in love

Because it is a wonderful feeling.

We must hope for the best in our journey of love…

Though we are taking the risk.
