Meeting
The clock showed 10am.
Alex was burning with anger. He dialed his secretary’s number for the twentieth time but it was not connecting.
Hot sweat broke out on his forehead despite the fact that the room was properly ventilated. He could feel the sweat trickled down his armpit.
He was facing his Boss, Richie Jones. The CEO of Richie and Richie group of companies. He knew that the young man in question was his son age mate but he had acquired wealth and influence even at a very young age.
“Mr. Alex! he called calmly.
“Yes Sir! he answered fidgeting. He knew his boss is understanding and kind but he felt he has out stepped his boundaries. For goodness sake he has kept the richest young man in Jallas waiting for the past one hour because of a silly secretary which he recently employed. He bit his lips in annoyance.

Alex dialed her number again and it was still not connecting.
He resolved in his heart to sack her the next day. How could someone who had barely stayed few days in her new place of work be showing such disinclination to duty?
As Richie Jones stood up to leave with his entourage. The door swung open and the long awaited secretary enters. She was sweating and breathing heavily.
“I’m really sorry, the traffic was bad”, she apologized to no one in particular.
“You are fired! Mr. Alex shouted, losing his temper.
Richie Jones went back to his seat and asked that the meeting begin. They were all surprised. They knew that he detests lateness especially when it comes to board meetings.
However, Mr. Alex noticed that during the meeting. His much revered boss, Richie Jones couldn’t take his eyes off his secretary, Angelina Hawk.
