Mmeso Inspires: The Casanova

I wonder how many girls he had carried in his car?

If the Prado belongs to him, even.

I wonder how many he had promised a ring while mounting and plucking their unripe lemon.

Those innocent girls roam the neighborhood afterward with protruded bellies and gloomy looks.

Yet, Obiageli has entered his Jeep again, laughing boisterously.

Tell me Isimma, how many times will something happen to you before you learn?

We all knew Obiageli as a moody introvert who associates with none…

And yet she had sat in the front of his car, laughing to his jokes and smiling to his touches…

What have come over our girls, Isimma?

The other day I saw him at the bar with Adaku.

Was it not Nneka who told us he had promised her marriage?

Playing one girl for the other…

Something need to be done Isimma, or else Osita will deceive the whole village.

Because he has a Prado, girls are all over him like flies after a corpse.

Because he spends money, girls fight for his love.

Obiageli lives with him now, abandoning her aged grandmother.

I heard Nneka is two moons gone already.

And yet he had offered to carry me on his Prado the other day on my way to the stream….

I had accepted, to feel what it is like, to be carried in a car and I had discovered his charm.

He had professed his undying love for me and I was surprised because his lies were glaringly.

Tell me Isimma, is Osita cursed?

And Osita surprised us all…

He put a ring on Obiageli’s finger…

And a crown on her head too because frolicking around the village, they sing her praises.

I wouldn’t say for sure what really happened Isimma…

But I knew Osita travelled out of the village two days before his marriage to Obiageli.

He left and never returned till date.

I knew of three things afterwards…

Obiageli became an extrovert to those willing to hear her pathetic story.

Osita did not just leave her to wallow in shame but with a baby, to wallow in her belly.

Tell me Isimma, how many times will something happen to you before you learn?
