He pulled her closer to himself so that she could feel his breath. His cologne was overpowering but Kim kept her cool.
He wanted to place his lips on hers but she pushed him away.
Gorgio was startled. He moved closer to her again but she stepped back.
“How dare you resist me, you dirty maid! he said.
“I’m sorry, my prince. But I can’t allow you to take advantage of me. I have dignity too “, Kim said bowing down in respect.
“No one ever say no to me… I’m the Lord of the Boroughs. Mind you, many ladies are dying to see me and here you are rejecting my advances”.
“I’m not many ladies, my Lord”, Kim said. She tried desperately to maintain composure in front of the tall frame.
“How dare you challenge me! he shouted and give her a loud slap.
Kim held her cheek. Wincing in pain she drew further from him.
“You will warm my bed tonight and you can do nothing about it”, he said with a note of finality.

“Yes my Prince”, Kim quickly answered and scurried out of the big room. Gorgio quietly watched her as she rushed out of his room.
He sat down on his bed and thought of his atrocious life. He knew he has been an imperious young man and a thorn to his parent’s flesh. He felt bad.
He thought about the young beautiful lady that just resisted him. Other ladies were freely giving themselves to him and so he thought all were like that.
He promised himself to turn over a new leaf.
But then he resolved never to let her go. The maid.
“I will surely make her mine”, he muttered.
