Mmeso Inspires: Go the Extra Mile

It has been a bumpy ride, filled  with bitter-sweet experience.  Some days, you want to escape far into the horizon and other days you just grin from ear to ear.

A story about a girl who arrived campus for a degree in Law in the middle of the semester. It was a tough one, because she was faced with:

1). Acclimatizing to the campus life.

2).  Potentially meeting up with  deadlines.

3).  Adapting to different course outlines and mode of teaching.

At a point, she almost quit but struggled to stay strong in the midst of storms. Listen, enough is not enough until it’s enough. You’re the ultimate drafter of your world. Only you must make it work, only you can fight that battle.

Having known that no one is coming to save her but herself, she swung into action, she created her schedule and work tirelessly in order to meet up. I have to brace up for life in law.

Studying law in the university has been her dream and she cannot afford to stumble now.  The ball is in her court. Did she play well?

Dear readers, it may interest you to know that the girl in question is me. It has been five years of putting in efforts, sacrifices and consistency to build one’s dream life. I’m grateful to the creator.

She’s still in the process though, success is a journey and not a destination. Beware!

You’re capable of achieving that goal, you’re capable of being whatever you set your mind to be, the question remains, are you ready?

Nelson Mandela said, It’s always impossible until it is done. Five years ago, I remember vividly, refreshing my mail to see if I have been offered admission. Life is truly a process.

Go the extra mile. challenge yourself to be the best version of yourself. You have that sparkle hidden in you, let it out. Let it shine for the world to see.

Self-doubt is the killer of dreams. You are not only capable of achieving your goals but you are destined to do so. Myles Monroe said, “There is something for you to start that is destined for you to finish”. Rise up, pal.

If you must win, you got to believe in your self and don’t stop until you’ve started living the life of your dreams. Take that step today, don’t be afraid. James Hightower said, “There is nothing in the middle of the road but yellow stripes and dead armadillos”.

Congratulations 🎉
