MMESO INSPIRES

Mmeso Inspires: Familiar

A familiar look,

And a tender feeling,

Like a déjà vu, you know…

With a man from the caliphates,

Wealthy, sassy dude from the region,

We are lovers, looking forward to what the future have in parcel for us,

But when I look into his eyes, it seemed I had seen him somewhere.

Why do this feelings keep re-occurring?

A feeling of familiarity,

Like I had known him from somewhere,

A feeling of certainty,

Like I’m so certain about us,

And each time he speaks, I’m always tempted to ask,

Whether he is related to the Mobibis.

Related stories:

His laughter is captivating,

And sounds like a tune,

Played with the piano,

His smile is therapeutic,

Curing the pain of yesteryears,

Healing the girl I was and,

Protecting the lady I am.

And each time he appears sad, my world seems to be in a rumble.

When he proposed,

Those signs began to make sense to me,

And when he walked me down the aisle,

I noticed he was the one,

And I know he will always be the one,

Not just in decades to come,

But forever.

That familiar look was an illusion waiting to be perfected,

Waiting to be real,

Waiting to come true,

And so, it did.
