Mmeso Inspires: A Need To Survive

I must tell you a story…

A tale of a girl who surmounted the hurdles and obstacles placed on her way by life.

A girl who needed to survive because there is not just a light surging in her but burning like an inferno.

When life throws punches at you, do you fall?

When you fail, do you give up?

I must tell you the story of girl who fell seven times but rises triple double triple.

Listen carefully.

Seven years ago, was a girl who thought her world has crashed into debris.

She thought it was all over, that the sun may not be able to rise again.

Having been dealt mercilessly by Life, she thought she may not be able to dream a new dream.

Lo, fate had a different story.

Was it not life who said…? “You will be happy, but first I will make you strong”.

She refused to give up.

I must tell you, Seven years ago was a little girl, who wander through the street in search of her daily bread.

Too many a trials she needed to conquer.

Too many a temptations….

Besides the hunger which gnaws at her tummy every single day, was the resistance to avoid been molested, not just by street boys but men.

Besides the tattered look, was the resistance to avoid been pulled down by the storms of life, why?

Because there is a flame like that of a refined gold, burning in her heart. She said “I needed to survive”.

Listen carefully,

Seven years ago, was a girl who cried to sleep most night, not because she was weak but because she was losing the strength to push on.

Seeing the condition of my family alone, gives me the energy to push, she said.

“Most importantly, my visions and dreams, I cannot afford to fumble, she said again….

Her story, I cannot recount all, because there is much to tell.

But she said to me “I turned my scars into stars, my wounds into wisdom, and I am grateful for where I am today”.

Looking at her now, I found it quite difficult to believe she has been through a lot in life, until I have seen her falling seven times but rising triple double triple times.

I never believed until I have seen her on a beast mode…

Verily, I never believed until I have seen her cry a river at dusk but rises at dawn with a new spark in her eyes which spelt “I NEEDED TO SURVIVE”

Yes, I never believed her until I have seen her not giving up, even though she was the last man standing.

I whispered to my self….” I needed to survive too”.
