Is this a fairy-tale?

Or maybe, I’m in wonderland

Because I can’t explain,

How he came into my life,

A poor boy from Bombay,

But we are in love,

A fine gentlemen,

Versed in knowledge and well polished,

You know what I mean, girl!

Don’t give me that sly look.

At first I thought he was annoying,

Then I thought he was noisy,

A nosy dude so I thought,

And a charlatan you know,

Until I started noticing his expensive shoes,

And his neat haircut.

I thought most of the students like him,

And the girls hover around him like bees

after a honeycomb,

What an annoying dude!

I hate the fact he is always punctual to class,

And answer most of the questions even when they were actually directed to me,

Who did he think he is?

A poor wretched boy buying expensive stuffs to please the girls,

Then I thought him to be a robber,

I thought of alerting the cops too

Then I noticed he always stare at me,

He spies with his eyes, trailing my movement

From the library to the classroom, then to the hostel or to the volleyball court,

This always piss me off and cause me curse under my breath,

Until I begin to stare back at him,

And watch him play volleyball with friends,

I begin to ask him questions after class,

Then I noticed he has a nice skin tone,

And enchanting scent,

I noticed he was a kind and humble soul,

and I begin to fall in love too.

I thought it was a fairy- tale,

Until he was on his knee presenting a diamond ring,

A proposal?

It was like a dream,

Yes, I thought I was in wonderland,

Or in Venus though,

Who could believe,

That the poor boy from Bombay,

Was a Prince from Britain.
