The problem with Nigeria is still that of a leadership, and the greatest sufferers of these unending menace is young Nigerians who have persistently held captive with the system. The most popular parlance among young Nigerians is “japa” it has continued to dominate their discussions, people who have travelled abroad are encouraging others to embrace better life in the said country, with how fortune can change within short period of time, it pushes them to think that, the only survival is japa and there is little or no hope to survive tsunami of a leadership which has swept citizens off their feet with no destination.
Irrespective of the fact that everyone is not going to be fortunate with japa, young Nigerians prefer to suffer abroad than to suffer in Nigeria, and this sums up the ugliness of the situation. Medical students in Nigeria, as early as their undergraduate program, they have made up their minds to leave the country, that’s why there is no innovation in the health system, it has continued to plunge into crisis and significantly suffered brain drain. This underscore the problem of leadership, where one medical doctor will have to see hundreds of thousands of patients a day.

Country that has one of the highest numbers of young people cannot guarantee enabling environment for them to thrive and develop themselves in ever evolving world of technology and innovations, the future of young Nigerians are hanging in the balance, if the situation continues like this without genuine efforts to salvage situation, it will become unbearable.
It is a looting spree in public service, where minister will provide personal account details for funds made for less privileged people, to effectively reach to them becomes a serious compromise. Elected officials are not showing exemplary steps for young Nigerians, in Nigeria elections are serious tug of war it is has passed simple exercise of right to vote and be voted for, elected officials who supposed to be custodians of rights, interest and welfare of the people have turned to be the direct opposite, it is a sorry state for the country. If such system is dismantled, there is nothing preventing Nigeria from being a great country.
