Gender Identity: How To Communicate Gender Issues With Kids

There has been talks about gender identity and how kids are going to carry on with widespread gender-based discussions starting from family to their first day in the school and societal expectations. It is a huge conversation for every parent to deal with, how to talk to boys about being a boy and how to talk to girls about being a girl, it is defining factor that will take a lead especially in a world where there is no limit. It is an active participation from parents for them to be able to convey the messages at the very young age with their kids which they will carry with the lessons of life in discovering the person they want to be in life.

Very often the predominant topic is how the world holds girls and women back from reaching their fullest potential. It is about putting the right factors in life to talk to girls how to live beyond the limit their circle has set for them, the evidential scenes are the Taliban rule in Afghanistan, where many laws are targeted at girls and women to completely kept them isolated from social and political lives, and they show no remorse for such. Gender discussion has grown to become a concern to address, to create a competitive world where boys and girls will have fair competition without fear of unknown, although there can never be any limit for anyone who is humble and hungry for her passion, looking at the women who have set the pace for other to break records.

Masculinity comes with bigger expectations from boys, but it is quite a different thing when you talk about what it means to be a boy or a man, with the societal views. There is imbibed principle and orientation when parents address their sons, they urged them to go harder and posed to take care of everyone including their female siblings both the younger ones and older ones. It is about finding the right vocabulary by parents to communicate with the boys and ways being a boy can be all positive without resulting to any form of violence, while providing enabling environment for them to have deep thoughts about masculinity in process of growing and discovery oneself which will lead to better conversations.

Women who complain about equality go head-to-heads with men in advocating for the idea of feminism in chasing better ground to have competitive goals without any sort of dominance from male gender. This is about what the world expects from boys, learning about consent and respecting women should be a dominant topic, which can be reduced to conversation without feeling ashamed. On course of putting men above the bar and talking about their visions and dreams, which includes empathy, vulnerability, and emotional honesty around critical issues impacting relationships, sexual behaviour and personal growth, all there are defining critical issues in talking about the impact of masculinity and the rise of feminism.

Masculinity and feminism shouldn’t be at war, it should be placed side by side while they coexist to address critical issues facing gender in talking about being a girl and a boy. In creating an atmosphere for ease, race and religion will play an active role in imbibing the notion of egalitarian world despite who is the benefactor and sufferer. This creates a free world of thoughts for masculinity while boys will be allowed to ask for help without confining themselves in the scope of masculinity which often leads to violence, aborted ambition and abusive relationships.

Fathers can be a role model in helping their sons to talk about feelings and expressing their emotions confidently, without confining themselves in the narrow definition of masculinity. It is deep conversations talking to boys how to be a boy, while they listen to what they shouldn’t do, there should be a conversation on what they should do, it creates sense of realism, gender equality is the fulcrum of the discussion of gender identity in urging for a better world.
