Coup In Africa: Democracy Failed And Misconstrued In Africa

Democracy in Africa has proved to be a fatal failure and system of enslaving people’s minds in the disguise of government of the people. This idea has been properly misconstrued in Africa, and have seen wave of coup in Africa recently and return of military stronghold, which put the fate of the continent in uncertain situation, in regard of strong condemnation of coup in this time and age. In the view of what democracy entails and its traditional meaning African leaders have failed to impact and develop the continent on what could have been a tool in pushing development.

What has happened in Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso, in recent time is the bigger picture of how African leaders misconstrued and implore bad antics into administration and workability of democracy in Africa, it could be far from over, it is not about imposing sanctions on the military it is about tackling the root cause of action, elected officials are damaging the continent, there is real chronic corruption in the system. Africans pay less attention whether military or elected civilians, they are looking for redemption and ways to get the continent moving again, democracy where people are relegated who then is the government.

Africa trapped in the hook

It is becoming unbearable people are in deep pain and the government efforts to abate those plights is minimal. Seeing rejuvenated wave of terrorism and insurgency in the continent is huge concern, often time the government will announce that they have crushed terrorists but yet after such statement they become more active than they have been. Coup in Africa is really damaging, taking the continent into the days of military dictators, who rule by their own detects not by what has become the norm and culture of the people.

There has been a lot of voices to change the dreadful state of nature in Africa, when you could not distinguish between democracy and dictatorship, what then is the privilege enjoyed by the masses? The irony of the situation is that, those military men who rule when military regime was norm in Africa, metamorphose to civilian leaders, there is no change it is just recycling the same bin, there is no new wave, no change in the system that will drive the continent out of the mud. Barbarity and cruelty rule all day, as humanity keep heading to the point of decay in African political circle.

This is a big call but quite a negative one, coup in Africa is dangerous way of setting the system right. Where elected civilians have failed to live up to the task of democratizing the whole system, the task of giving the system new look and wave is left in dangerous hands. It is largely unsafe, people are running away from their homes in search of safety, and under the military nothing is guaranteed it is all about detects and proclamations. Coup in Africa has killed off what was comatose, there is no life again to breathe into it, in search of hope and preserve aspirations for younger generations.
