She was born on 9 October, 1994. To choose a career is something parents do more often for their children in Nigeria, they will literally give you and sacrifice everything for you, but we never allow you to be yourself, they are self-imposed.

Injury marred her appearances with the Merseyside club, with possible transfer linking her away from the club. She signed for Chinese club, Dalian Quanjian F.C. on 10 February 2017.

Barcelona is a legendary club, when they come for you, it is an appreciation for work done over the years, it was a stepping stone for Asisat Oshoala on January 31, 2019, FC Barcelona Femení signed Oshoala on a loan deal until the end of the season. It comes too early for her, but never failed to shine, she scored a brace against Lyon in the UEFA Women’s Championship League Final.

Asisat Oshoala turns into a full grown asset for the Catalonia club, she became a goal scoring machine, her qualities were unmatchable.

She started early in her career as an attacking midfielder, she was nicknamed “Seedorf”, a male professional player, who played for AC Milan, often with midfield partnership with Gattuso.

The then president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan recognized Asisat Oshoala contributions in women’s football, she was honoured with MON ( Member of the Order of the Niger). She was among the team that won African Women’s Championship in 2016 and 2018 edition.

To become a female footballer in Nigeria, is not something that please your parents, they would opt for University degrees. Asisat Oshoala who is a Muslim, said that her parents weren’t supportive on course for her football career.

It is self-motivated entity, you can’t allow people to choose for you, follow your passion, work hard like your whole life depends on your dreams, despite the harsh reprisals, she was able to shine and live her dream, currently playing for FC Barcelona Femení.
