“As A Family We Relied On Breakfast Clubs”

Rashford who is playing forward for English club, Manchester United and English National team, more than a decade ago Rashford, needed breakfasts clubs and free school meals to supplement what his mum could provide.

Lockdown has slowed down a lot of things, affecting economy very badly, when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on 18 March that the country schools had to help mitigate the spread of the pandemic, Rashford who has been in the same situation as a kid, precisely knew what he meant, people are thinking what to do, but Rashford wondered how kids are growing up as he had would get fed.

Rashford made an indefatigable efforts talking to organisations, understanding how this policy is going to work, to enable those kids who relied on free meals.

Rashford received enormous praise for pioneering this, especially writing to the government, he is not afraid to step outside his comfort zone and inspire people, a young footballer now you understand why he is inspiring lives and making a difference.

The life changing letter he sent to the MPs, which he said “As a family, we relied on breakfast clubs, free school meals, and the kind actions of neighbours and coaches,”. The compassionate latter he wrote, he went on with his experience in Christmas with free school meals “Food banks and soup kitchens were not alien to us, I recall very clearly our visits to Northern Moor to collect our Christmas dinners every year, it’s only now that I really understand the enormous sacrifice my mum made in sending me away to live in digs aged 11, a decision no mother would ever make lightly.”

Rashford has not achieved the milestone, he wished to achieve in his career now, but looking at his working ethics, this is a player who is not far from his best and definitely going to achieve a lot in his career.

Seld-driven, curiosity and humility, have paved way for Rashford in his novelty career in football, a boy who knew where he came from and understood the importance of making a difference.
