Power gluttony amongst African leaders and whether AU has outlived its purpose
These have been the major problems facing Africa, what is not going to affect those people in power is thrown into the bin, a small circle of people gains from political woes facing the continent in the detriment of multi-millions of people living in the continent. AU is highly ineffective; you could hardly detect where they channel African foreign policy which is going to form economic stability, and give an average citizens good life and financial stability, it feels like African Union never considered the harsh conditions some citizens have to live on daily basis, the situation in Africa can be likened to war times.
There is dead system amongst leaders, they know they have failed Africans, there is no policy to detect, tackle and provide everlasting solutions to crisis facing Africa, they could hardly boost of any solid project that will empower young people in Africa, no idea world to catch up with the development in the world, no enabling condition that will facilitate new development, which will see widespread of employment across the system, and young people are dying with their ideas.

Humanitarian crisis going on in Ethiopia has pushed many people in the region out of their homes, and AU has not made any efforts to curb the ongoing crisis, they have found it very difficult to intervene, Africa is in the hands of people who do not care whether the continent is rotten, they pay so much attention in transporting themselves abroad for medical attention, and their citizens have no adequate hospital to go to, to talk more of health insurance, which has not been considered.
To pick arms against another in the disguise of taking away jobs in your country is totally insanity, the whole Africa was at the rescue of South Africa during the time of apartheid, it was championed campaign to liberate them from white minority, and they cannot protect fellow Africans and resort to during insane act to drive fellow Africans out of SA, Nelson Mandela will be watching from afar with great dismay.
The insurgency in Africa is an offshoot of bad leadership, unemployment and unbothered leaders, if the system is in good condition and African foreign policy is strong, there would be nothing like insurgency. There have been speculations that it has been grouped by opposition to disrupt government in power, in Nigeria, north-eastern part of the country has been taken over by militia sect, Boko Haram, Islamic extremists who are following the ideology to abolish western way of life and enthroned Islam. Nigeria role in combating internal crisis in Africa and pioneering African policy has been crushed, if a Nigerian save one naira every single day for a year, it could not be equated to one dollar, this is how terrible the situation is.
The country that professes to produce oil could not have constant power supply, due to huge corruption and neglection of welfare of citizens, if there is any development in power and oil sector by now Nigeria will be talking about prioritizing powering half of African countries, where there is no visionary leader the whole system is bound to collapse and there is no strong plan for African foreign policy, every year thousands of graduates are thrown in the labour market without any job, and the leaders use these vulnerable graduates to continue perpetrating vices in the system.
Africa has not really step up for the challenges in the world, they are fully dependent on foreign countries on any kind of aid, and AU is comfortable with it, the continent’s dream for African foreign policy that will boost development and economic stability, that will alleviate alarming amount of unemployment in Africa has really died of. Young Africans can no longer dream, you cannot build something on nothing, it will collapse, every day the system keep getting worst, because the same old politicians keep recycling in the helm of affairs, and youths have not been liberated, they kill themselves to prepare a place for their oppressors to continue subjecting them to an unending hardship, it is time for reawakening.
The whole system is losing its sanity, every day the continent wakes up to another horrible news which is really frustrating for working class people and younger generation. Across the system you heard about massive looting, but a civil servant minimum wage could barely sustain a family for a week, and no efforts to improve the standard of living, people are being forced to live less like humans. Africa needs to draw a foreign policy that will eliminate the crisis ravaging African countries, a system that will give hope to younger generation, for them to be able to dream again.
Universities still go on strike in Africa, education is being suspended because the system enthroned people who lack any vision for visionary Africa, a place where younger generation could be able to dream. Public universities in Nigeria are on hold, the academic body, ASUU, on several occasions have failed to reach agreement with the federal government, Nigeria cannot boost of continuous education without being interrupted this has been the case every year, there is always fallout with ASUU and federal government, they have failed to find a working system for the sector.
Africa needs connection to find a working system and hope for younger generation, the continent is heading towards a dangerous direction where there would be no future for upcoming generation.
